If you are or have ever been concerned about your health then you may have enhanced your diet with some form of vitamin supplement at some point in the past, and consequently have a good knowledge of usefulness of various vitamins. But, if you have never taken any kind of vitamin supplements before so I have written this short article specifically for those that would like to know the advantage of taking certain vitamin supplements, so that you will quickly grasp and understand what each of the vital vitamins is for and the advantages of taking them - particularly if you are any form of diet plan

Let's start with the first letter of the alphabet

Vitamin A.
Vitamin A has several advantages. But is of particular importance to dieters because it aids the body in protein synthesis which basically means it helps single amino acids to combine together into a complete single complex protein. Proteins are of course substances that are important for life because apart form doing many things they are used along with other substances to form and re-build new tissue such as muscle, skin, hair and internal organs ect. It also plays a vital role in the formation of glycogen (the carbohydrates retained within the body) and is famously known as the vital compound which helps to maintain and in some cases improve eyesight.

Vitamin B1
: also known as "thiamine", is an essential vitamin for producing haemoglobin (found in red blood cells) which is a vital substance that transports oxygen around our bodies. B1, like all the B vitamins, is critical for maintain a healthy metabolism (the rate our bodies burn calories), thiamine is also very valuable for in keeping the bodies nervous system functional and in good condition.

Vitamin B2
: the famous riboflavin. B2 helps in converting stored carbon hydrates (body fat) into to usable energy.

Vitamin B3: Niacin
(nicotinic acid) helps to maintain the blood  circulation around our muscle tissue subsequently allowing us to look more vascular. It is also considered by some to be very effective in maintaining a healthy heart and is important for producing several sex and stress-related hormones in the adrenal glands ect.

Vitamin B6,
also called Pyridoxine, is said to be involved in 101 chemical processed within our bodies, but from a weight loss perspective B6 is important for maintaining a healthy digestive system. Like some other B vitamins, B6 is vital for a good metabolic function, particularly in helping to breaking down proteins, fats and carbohydrates from the foods we consume on a daily basis. This vitamin is also important for building various types of hormone that help keep the organism's nervous system functioning properly.

Vitamin B12: Cobalamin
is, like all of the other B-vitamins, water-soluble;  B12 plays a vital role in keeping the brain and the nervous system functioning  and in a health condition. It is also critical for the formation of blood, and plays a major role in the metabolic action of every single cell through out the human body. Most people already know that, B12 is mostly only found in animal products, such as meat, so vegetarians and vegans will normally need to take extra precautions to ensure they get enough of this important vitamin.

Biotin:
Biotin is yet another important vitamin for dieters because B-vitamins are needed for the adequate formation of fatty acids and glucose, which are both vitally important for the synthesising of energy from food. Biotin also has an important role in helping with the metabolism of proteins fats and carbohydrates we eat.

Vitamin C: Ascorbic acid,
is another water-soluble vitamin and is probably the most well known vitamin of all! Apart from being known as a general booster for the immune system, it is actively involved in the formation of collagen (the chemical compound which keeps the joints and other connective tissue in the human body in a good healthy condition). Vitamin C is also an amino-acid metabolism. On top of all that, this vitamin is also needed for the production of steroid hormones within the body and, allows the organism to readily absorb iron more easily and effectively.

I hope this short article gives you a useful introduction to some of the important vitamins which we need to make sure we have enough of. However, there a several more essential vitamins that needs to be included in your daily diet such as: Vitamin D and E and some experts would also include F and K too! Remember, they may have been called 'vitamins' because they really are 'vital' to good health and wellness. So! eat well and eat healthy!
