Surfing the internet, I have come across a lot of information regarding exercises to get rid of man breasts.
I have even seen videos on Youtube instructing people on how to perform certain exercises to help get rid of unwanted man boobs!
But here is the physiological fact. The human body can't 'spot-lose' weight. In other words, you can't lose fat from one part of your body and not the rest of the body (short of surgery). Now this does not only go for man boobs-Gyneomastia-but also love handles, a fat belly, fat thighs or fat anything.
So it is important to realise that if you read, hear, or see anyone trying to tell you how to exercise a particular part of the body to get that body part to lose weight, you must understand that they either don't know what they are talking about or they are wilfully misleading you.
Now, that does not mean you should avoid exercising to get rid of man boobs. No! Exercise will not only make you look better, feel better, and possibly lengthen your life span by reducing your risk of heart disease etc, but also exercise is beneficial in helping you lose OVERALL body fat. But exercising your chest with the view of getting rid of man boobs will actually do very little to reduces the size of your boobs. You may tone the muscles, but if they're invisible under the fat, no-one will see them.
In fact, too much heavy exercise in the chest area, such as heavy bench presses, can bulk up the muscles under the layer of fat to such a degree that your man boobs can seem even bigger!
Here is another physiological fact. Exercising to get rid of man boobs is about burning excess calories stored in the form of fat. So, if you want to get rid of man boobs through exercise alone, then you would do better by working the bigger muscles in the body such as the glutes (buttocks), thighs, then chest, shoulders and back. Why? Because these muscles, being the largest, will demand more fuel (fat ) to work, and will subsequently get rid of your man boobs more successfully than if you only exercise your chest area.
You can work these muscle groups separately or you can even exercise them all together. What form of exercise you use is entirely up to you. But if you are badly out of shape, then walking, swimming or light jogging are great activities to start with. If you really want an exercise routine that is completely flexible ie you can scale it up as your fitness develops, then get yourself a set of kettlebells. Kettlebell training will not only burn the fat, it will also increase you strength … and drop those boobs to a cool set of well sculpted pecs.
But there is one more thing you really need to look at if you are serious about getting rid of your man boobs and that's DIET. Yes! Exercise alone in theory will get rid of man boobs, but you may have to do a lot of it, and regularly. By cleverly combining exercise with diet you will have a "deadly duo" working for you. I call this combination "the man boob assassinator."
